Healthy Indulgence at Mama Kim: Wellness Cuisine that Won’t Weigh You Down

Craving food that’s good for your body and soul? Look no further than Mama Kim Wellness Kitchen in Tanjong Tokong! We’re frequent visitors here, drawn by their delicious and healthy dishes that leave us feeling satisfied and energized.

Sauna Mee: A Steamy Affair

Our go-to order? The Tri-Color Sauna Mee. Picture this: a steaming stone pot brimming with 10 types of fresh vegetables, tender Japanese butterfish, and springy noodles in three vibrant colors. The broth is packed with flavor, thanks to the vegetables and a hint of butterfish, making it a symphony of umami goodness. Whether you choose the tri-color noodles, brown rice, pumpkin noodles, or go noodle-free, this dish is a winner. (Pro tip: we added a dash of chili oil for a touch of heat!)

Cantonese Seafood Noodles: A First Bite Revelation with a twist

Intrigued by the sight of other diners slurping up these noodles last week, we decided to give them a try. And oh boy, we were not disappointed! The clear broth is light and refreshing, showcasing the delicate flavors of the seafood – While the prawns weren’t quite the briny, straight-from-the-sea perfection I dream of (blame my seafood-village upbringing!), where my parents bought back the seafood alive!

Fried Taro Buns: Sweet Surrender

No Mama Kim visit is complete without indulging in their Fried Taro Buns. Imagine fluffy taro buns, deep-fried to golden perfection, filled with soft, creamy taro paste, and finished with a sprinkle of peanuts and a drizzle of condensed milk. Each bite is an explosion of textures and flavors, a heavenly combination of sweet and savory. Our repeats order, yummy yum!
