Eat No Stop

I stumbled upon a post on social media raving about a certain restaurant serving “instant kuey teow soup” at Kompleks Penjaja Desiran Tanjung Pinang. Curiosity got the best of me and I decided to make the drive all the way to Tanjung Tokong to see what the fuss was about. And boy, was I pleasantly surprised! The soup was absolutely delicious and definitely worth the trip. Plus, the food court had a wide selection of other dishes to try out as well.

Additional remarks: I can’t get enough of their crispy fried fish fillet! The batter is perfectly crispy, and the fish inside is always moist and tender.

Now, let’s talk about the environment. The food court is actually run by the local council, so don’t expect anything fancy or comfortable. The seating arrangements are basic, and there’s not much in the way of ambiance or decor. But what it lacks in atmosphere, it makes up for in variety and affordability.

I have to admit that the hygiene level is not really up to par, and the overall cleanliness of the food court leaves a lot to be desired. However, if you’re willing to overlook these shortcomings and focus solely on the food, you won’t be disappointed.
